Eligibility

The DNLL rulebook version 4.0 states the following:

1.3.4 Players eligible for playoff games

Players of division 1 and division 2 have to play 50 percent plus 1 game of the total games throughout the regular season, with the team they want to play with in the  playoffs, to be considered eligible for participation in the playoffs.
Players of division 3 have to play a minimum of 2 games with the team they want to play with in the playoffs throughout the regular season to be considered eligible for participation in the playoffs. Also, players of division 3 can play not more than 1 game with a team in a higher division if they want to be eligible for participation in the playoffs.

If a player is injured and can not play enough games to be eligible to play in the playoffs, a doctor’s note including type of injury, date of occurrence and recovery period can be send to the NLB. Games played in the period the player is injured will not  contribute to the total amount of games.

The DNLL rulebook version 4.0 states the following:

2.4 Playoffs
The top four teams after finishing the regular season from each division will play in the playoffs. Number 1 will pay number 4 and number 2 will play number 3 in the semi-finals. The winner of each game will play the final for the division title, the other teams will play for the 3rd place in the division.

2.5.1 Automatic promotion and demotion
The winners of the playoffs of division 2 and 3 will be promoted next season, and the numbers 6 (after the regular season) of division 1 and 2 will be demoted next season.

2.5.2 Promotion and demotion games
After the playoffs two promotion/demotion games will be played:
- 2nd place playoffs division 2 vs number 5 regular season division 1
